BEAUTIFUL SHADES OF BROWN

TITLE: Beautiful shades of brown. 

DIMENSION: 24 × 36 inches. 

MEDIUM : Oil on canvas. 

A few months ago I started this piece. Working with very unconventional style has always been my desire, so in order to do something completely different from the usual painting on a flat plain canvas I decided to try this out having conceived the idea through moments of prayer and seeking God. 

The reference photo was extracted from the movie "Queen of Katwe" based on a true story .  I choose this because I was so motivated by the story of the Ugandan girl who fought her way like a chess piece through poverty by becoming a chess playing champion. Against all odds and the harsh condition that surrounded her, she believed in a future that seemed only real to her alone. 

She was a dreamer. 

From being kicked around like a pawn to becoming a queen. 

The future only belongs to those who believe in the reality of their dreams. 

If you want to rule the future, first become a dreamer.
